System 2 = The People

I asked a pastor-friend how things were going in his ministry and he said, “Church would be great if it wasn’t for the people.”

He was joking, of course.

 

However, there are SO MANY leaders who actually FEEL like that… b/c, in reality, the people are the most difficult part of ministry (yet ministry exists for the people).

🤷‍♂️

 

Here’s what I’ve seen over the past few years…

Many "people tensions" are just systems and process issues in disguise. The truth is that--

💥 People are created by God to make a Kingdom impact

💥 People want to serve at a higher level

💥 People are the greatest asset you have

Yet we can't leverage the gift they are-- and walk them towards fulfillment-- if we don't have a process in place to develop them.

 

In system 2 (People), we talk about the importance of—

👉 Creating ministry role / job descriptions for every position (staff and volunteer) in your church

👉 What needs to be in those descriptions

👉 How to craft them in such a way that it captures the “serve, care, and win” of everything you do in your church
