Impact update | November 2025

impact report Nov 24, 2025

Before filing for our 501c3 / tax-exempt status as a nonprofit ministry in early 2025, we wrote a list of seven tangible targets for the year. They were / ARE the metrics we want to organize our efforts around.

In April, we provided an update to our board of directors. Then, in October, we shared another.

Next year we plan to share updates in April, August, and December-- in the same manner— all built around targets we release in January.

This not only helps us stay “on task,” it lets donors and prayer partners know where we’re headed AND helps us measure the actual return on investment of time, treasure, focus, and energy.

Note: We would love to send you this newsletter via U.S. Postal. We'll include pictures, as well as progress updates on the seven targets. The intent of the newsletter is not to ask for something, but to report on what's happening.

Update on our 2025 targets

Remember, these were all announced in January, so we’ll provide updates “since April” in this overview. To see the original posts go here for January and here for April.

#1 = Healthy Church workshops

April ‘25 GOAL REVISIT: Host three live Healthy Church workshops (Huntsville, Birmingham, and Montgomery) each with 25-50 attendees, to identify two church leaders per location to implement the "Healthy Church" content.

Actual Outcomes (April-October 2025) = FOUR total workshops

πŸ“4/28- Athens Area (Limestone & Morgan Baptist Associations (20 attendees)

πŸ“5/06- Prattville, Alabama State Board of Missions (50 Associational leaders)

πŸ“8/14- Guntersville, Marshall Association & Madison Association (25 leaders)

πŸ“9/09- Prattville, full workshop at ALSBOM (35 leaders)

ATTENDANCE: 130+ total leaders engaged (across associations, pastors, & Director of Missions

EXPANSION MOMENTUM + next steps = Currently in active conversation with 6 associations for early 2026 events. Associations are inviting others in, multiplying the reach organically.

πŸ“† For 2026 workshops go here.

🧭 Each event now includes clear next steps: inviting leaders into consulting or coaching pathways.

#2 = Release the next book

April ‘25 GOAL REVISIT: Launch a Joy/Happiness book this Fall, including the book, workshops, and social media. Impact 1,000 leaders in 2025 with the resource.

Goal: Re-Launch Heaven Bound book.

Resource Updates:

πŸ“™ The Joy/Happiness launch has been delayed as Edwin serves as interim pastor at Pleasant Spring Baptist Church. Though outside LifeLift, this has been a blessing—providing a real-time pilot of Healthy Church resources with local leaders.

❀️‍🩹 This role has also accelerated new tools for churches in “survival mode,” including digital mini-courses plus a certification and coaching process now ready to implement.

πŸ’œ Meanwhile, Andrew’s GY6 resource has gained significant traction, so the re-launch of HeavenBound has been rescheduled (TBA).

Healthy Church Resources (2025) released in 2025 include:

βœ… Healthy Church and Healthy Systems books + audiobooks

βœ… Mini-courses (under 90 minutes each)-- these courses can be found here (Healthy Church) and here (Healthy Systems)

βœ… Certification and coaching framework complete and ready to launch-- info on certification is available here.

#3 = The podcast

APRIL 2025 GOAL REVISIT: Keep the LifeLines podcast going with a new season. Episodes were  scheduled, as of that time, through March 31.After the "Healthy Church" Season 1, we’ll discuss JOY to refine the message and pre-launch the book. Listen on your favorite podcast platform or the website.

Podcast Updates – LifeLines:

πŸ“³ We reshared the Healthy Church series afer launching the series Spring 2025.

πŸ“³ Since we decided to push the Joy book to a later day, we uploaded the GY6 series.

πŸ“³ Access the podcast here OR on your favorite podcast provider.

#4 = Mission trips

APRIL 2025 GOAL REVISIT: Two equipping-based mission trips will resource and encourage church leaders, similar to the Fall 2024 Nepal trip. These trips focus on replicating local leaders, rather than street evangelism.

Equipping-Based Mission Trips Updates:

In October, Edwin traveled to India, connecting with new pastors who actively used the Healthy Church resources.

Impact: Healthy Church is now available in 3 languages, with ongoing discussions to add Romanian and Spanish translations.

Note: Romania is on the schedule for November 2026 and Fall 2027. See the events page for details.

#5 = Interim / transitional pastorate

APRIL 2025 GOALS REVISIT: One intentional transitional pastoral location this year, potentially through workshops & other ministry contacts. The duration is uncertain, with the most recent being Sardis Springs Baptist through Summer 2024.

Intentional Transitional Pastoral Placement Update:

Pleasant Springs Baptist (May 2025–present) Edwin began serving this small, struggling congregation in May. He has led them through a church health review and will continue walking with them as they discern their next steps.

#6 = Prayer team and financial support team

APRIL 2025 GOALS REVISIT: Build a two-fold team of 100 prayer warriors and 100 regular donors/supporters, with potential overlap.

Current Status:

To date, there has been no organized or appointed leadership over the LifeLift Prayer Team. While prayer has remained a valued part of the ministry culture, there has not been a coordinated system for recruiting, training, or communicating with intercessors.

As part of the 2026 budget proposal, Beth will serve full-time as Director of Operations, with the responsibility of organizing and overseeing this vital team.

Next steps for you?

#7 = GY6 project

APRIL 2025 GOAL REVISIT: Praying about the next/final initiative, uncertain of its exact form, but aware there is a #7 involved.)

We now believe the “seventh” initiative we sensed earlier in the year is the GY6 Project—a discipleship pathway for veterans and first responders.

GY6 is faith-driven, connecting churches with local veteran service organizations to reach our heroes.

Updates:

πŸ“˜The book is complete and edited.

πŸ–₯️ Project website live: www.GY6.online

πŸ¦… The 21st District of the American Legion (Greater Birmingham) has adopted GY6, implementing the program across 13 posts in partnership with churches and other groups.

πŸ‘Ÿ A 5K fundraiser (May 2026) is planned with a $50,000+ goal: BeTheOneToday.com
