Healthy Systems is all about the processes to serve people

Churches need good systems to thrive. However, these five processes facilitate the six functions of the church rather than existing in and of themselves.

Path = a clear definition of what a fully developed disciple of Jesus Christ looks like with plan to get there.

People (staff & volunteers) = connecting those persons to opportunities to serve with strategic definitive on-ramps, as well as clarifying what they do to join the mission of leading others on the proposed path of life transformation.

Processes = automating what you do and how you do it, so you can focus on people. This should include written procedures so people know how to participate and serve at higher levels.

Place = the environment, the abiding culture that is set— the “feel” of how things are in the organism, the unique expression of the body of Christ.

Purse (finances) = how you handle resources. A culture of radical generosity will be created, developed, and nurtured.

Anywhere you find people, you encounter conflict— even in a church. Healthy churches handle conflict in unique ways, using it to grow closer to each other and to enhance the achievement of God’s purposes for the church.

Churches come in all shapes and sizes, and they’re all part of the in-breaking of God’s Kingdom here on earth. Embrace where you are while also seeking a greater experience of God’s Kingdom presence & power in the model and methodology He ordains for your church or ministry.

A final word about processes = the Presence always goes with people not the processes themselves— even if the processes are ordained by God.

Your online presence should enhance interpersonal connections— not replace them. The only reason to go “high tech” is if it helps you go “higher touch.”
